Tamanawis Secondary shining in wrestling tournaments

Surrey: Tamanawis Secondary School which is located in the heart of Surrey Newton has never won a senior boys provincial title in any sport since its opening in 1994. But now the story has changed, In the last 3 years the Surrey School has won 3 straight Championships in the sport of Wrestling.

Community coaches Jessy Sahota, Paul Sahota & Shaan Randhawa credit the newfound success to the hard work of their 50 or so wrestling students. This past week at the BC Provincial Championships the team had 5 wrestlers win a medal.

The following is a list of Champions.

-Rohit Bal - 78kg 1st

-Baltej Mundi - 110kg 1st

-Karanjot Dhillon - 38kg 1st

-Arjun Mandher - 90kg 2nd

-Manjot Sangha - 125kg 3rd

The community of Surrey should be proud of these young boys who are now preparing for The National Championships in Calgary. God bless this team and may continue to achieve more success in the coming years.
